I got a bunch o' nice backgrounds taken as screenshots from G-Force, a free visualizer for most media programs. I rotate, heres just a few more recent ones:

Pretty plain. I added the 'motion' to the picture myself.

I change it fairly regularly, if I see one I like... My current one:

Now I'm expected to have a background and a theme? The stress of this forum is killing me!
In all seriousness, I used to be really into desktop modding a few years ago, but the appeal wears off. I'm all about speed and functionality now.
Matt? Is that an Alienware machine? or are you just using their theme? I would've gone with FNW or Voodoo, but whatever floats your boat.

But at least I've got a pretty and stress relieving theme/background.

That's quite a freaky image, especially for a desktop... Why do you like it?
It's larger version of the the album cover for Fear of a Blank Planet, by Porcupine Tree (http://www.porcupinetree.com/). An awesome album. I thought it was quite a cool image too.

Gray needed for color correction, and desolate so I don't stay too long.

Wow, this thread was in need of some serious cleanup.
Let's try to keep one thread, and just let it get huge. Stay on topic, please (i.e. don't post without including a desktop).
I'm using a new one for my laptop, which I also found on bayimg. Decent 8:5 wallpaper is hard to come by. :undecided:

Current background image, but it changes frequently. Got a few I've made in Terragen but most are screenshots from a music visualizer program (G-Force, for those interested).

It always depresses me that many otherwise cool people have butt ugly themes :P

A bit tricky to show you a screenshot from my PC when Paint won't open...
This is the wallpaper anyway: http://davecheesefish.deviantart.com/art/Bad-Day-at-the-Office-74974059
