So, last night, my latest toy arrived from Woot. It's the Philips shoqbox personal sound system... it's neat. Slightly larger than a hot dog bun, and about the same shape. Sounds quite decent, even before you consider that it's got such tiny speakers.
In addition to the FM tuner and line-in functions, it has 512MB of internal memory from which it can play mp3s.
I figure that for starters it would be fun to have some amusing audio files on it, to use obnoxiously in public, at a later date. However, I would think this would make up a relatively insignificant portion of the unit's memory bank.
I've got my Zen to hold my complete music collection, so the lack of storage on this thing isn't a huge issue. I figure I should just install the bare minimum, some essential songs and maybe a full album or two, just for the sake of having them on hand.
Suggest away. (I'm mostly into early 90s rock, grunge, as well as some Pink Floyd and some other stuff).
