From Fandango:

1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
2. The Dark Knight
3. Iron Man
4. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
5. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
6. Get Smart
7. The Incredible Hulk
8. The X-Files 2
9. Speed Racer
10. Sex and the City

I most want to see #s 2, 4, 1. Get Smart looks to be amusing, even if comedy typically isn't my genre of choice, so that ranks with Iron Man as runners up. You'd have to pay me to see Sex and the City. What is everyone else looking forward to?

There's a film where Will Smith plays a crappy superhero. Know it by any chance?

I saw a trailer for it when I saw Iron Man (Which was good)- can't remember the name... Looks quite good actually.

Yes it looks pretty decent. Besides, Willy is a god to me, so I'll definitely see it.

"Hancock" is the name. First I heard of it was a Burger King commercial where he throws the whale into a sailboat.

I'm up for seeing whatever my girlfriend wants..

No thanks. I don't go for younger guys, anyway.

Did someone shove a non-sexually-related object up your ass, CBG?

Meh, Alex is a whiney bitch (worse than me, I dare say) who'll be fantastic one minute and a right cunt the next.
Seeing Speed Racer on monday with a few mates, including Alex. I'll let ya'll know what it's like. Probably going to see Indiana soon too.
Uni is done for the year so I have way too much free time. Hopefully will be going to the movies pretty often.

PMS?

I just watched the three I.J. movies yesterday. Hopefully the new one doesn't go the way of Star Wars and trade in a good script for good effects.

How much do movies cost for you? They're starting to rise about $10 over here. I make less than that per hour, so no movies on a regular basis for me.

Our local is £4.50. That's about $9.

It's the food you want to watch. A regular popcorn and a drink costs often more than the ticket.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, my girl is Mormon. So nothing for me anytime soon.

Lolz Hannibal.
Tickets are usually bout £5.50, but are £4 or something if you flash your student card.
Chillin: I'm surprised to see you make less per hour than me... Less than the minimum wage here in fact. o.O

Oh, and didn't see speed racer in the end. The only woman who came was late and took too long eating so we knew we weren't going to get there in time. We're gonna see it tonight but we haven't made any plans about it yet so.. :/

Meh, so cheap... The minimum wage in general is LOW. I make a half-decent salary as it is, compared to a good amount of other jobs. What's the minimum wage over where you are? Is it country-wide?

CannonBallGuy

Yes UK-Wide, £5.52/hr which, even taking into account that your standard of life is cheaper, comes to $10+.

Minimum wage is actually less at my age though, £4.60, but I make £5.70 because I'm simply a god at what I do. Nobody fillets a fish like me. Everyone else does it in such a way that the bones come out in less than 3 weeks. Fools.

Saw Speed Racer tuesday... crap. Ok it looked all shiney and fancy. GReat. What about a story? Acting? ... meh. 2/3 imho.
Saw Indiana today... aliens? wtf? Otherwise I did actually enjoy it. The friends I were with were bigger Indy fans than me (I've never actually seen any of the previous ones all the way through in one sitting) and disliked it more than me... They didn't like the monkeys, the alien part of the story and so-on.
Imho, change "aliens" to "ancient civilisation" or whatever and it'd have been a brilliant movie.

Seeing as this is the general movie thread, and in my earlier post I said i'm up for whatever my better half is, what's everyone's take on The Notebook?
I know its a giant chick flick, but I'm almost wanting to see it because everyone's always on about how good it is and how they cry every time they see it.

Namely any dudes who've seen it (hopefully not without a female companion).

Lucky bastards.

Nice - girls (and gay guys?) like guys who can cook. And if you can't cook, then filleting is a good start.

Nothing like a spoiler on a movie I've been wanting to see for months...
