Was playing Mofo again tonight and made the comment that all i get are bad flags. He proceeded to bash me for making that statement where as I said I was merely stating my personal opinion. He then told me the percentage of bad flags and I asked him to check my flagstats. Again I was called a "bitch" and to "pull the sand out of my Vagina". Really adult statements especially coming from a mod. Its really a shame that a person cant control him/herself when in a position of power so to speak. I'm sure I will be bashed for coming on here and posting even though he told me to but i'm willing to see if there will be any intelligent reply's. Either way, I posted my problems where they should be posted and let it be said this is the second time having my head chewed off by him. I will continue to play Mofo due to it being an awesome server but wish you would screen your mods better in the future because that one is a douche ....:mad:

On a more serious note, what kind of response did you want? You were complaining about something that is completely out of his control on a server that explicitly allows vulgar language!

Whether you get a bad or good flag isn't decided by us. We set a 3:1 good-to-bad ratio, but if you defy probability, we can't do anything short of /giving you good flags, which would be unfair to other players.

Coincidentally, we are working on a gamemode you might be interested in, called Progressive. You automatically receive better or worse flags depending on how well you are doing.

Yeah, this is the guy who was playing as "Vah Jina" - kept on bitching and bitching about the HUGE amount of bad flags on the server, how he's the ONLY ONE to EVER get a bad flag on the server.

The thing I was trying to tell you is that we have a very large and generous range of flags available at any given time. You know how on some servers, not all flags are present? Well... on ours, every flag is represented at LEAST once. The flag scheme breaks down like this...

One geno flag
One of each bad flag
Three of everything else.

So, lets do the math on that...

There are 28 good flags and 14 bad flags in total on version 2.0.x of BZFlag. Now, since Planet MoFo allows Jumping and our server has Ricochet turned on... you might as well lower the total flag type count to 26. Sure, you'll find those two flags on our "Passion of the Pillbox" games, but thats not what we are talking about right here and now.

If I am wrong on my match - Please, I beg you ugys to correct me if I am wrong on my math. 26 Good flags... one is Geno, and there is only one geno. So, 1, plus 25 other good flags, 3 of each - make the math formula

1 + (25 x 3) = number of good flags
1 + 75 = 76 Good flags.

Plus, add in 14 bad flags...

76 good + 14 bad = 90 Flags in total.

I ain't got a calculator near me to figure out the exact percentage... but its less than twenty five percent. To hear you bitch, moan, groan, and complain about it - you make it out to be like there are hundreds of bad flags out, and only two or three good ones... which is clearly not the case.

What you are so upset about is the fact that as soon as you voiced your displeasure with our assuming flag scheme, I did not go and immediately restart the server with YOUR suggestions implemented, to please YOU and cater to YOUR needs and wants.

Its not our fault that you are a janky ass luck having, bad flag getting whiney bitch. How about NOT flag shopping at the speed of light, picking and dropping flags as fast as you come across them. Try settling with a flag that is NOT superweapon - something other than SW, GM, L, WG, and G. Cause when you go through flags like that, you're bound to pick up a bad one or two. Believe it or not, we do NOT have any plugin, server mod, or any other system in place to force a higher bad flag probability rate. It might seem like we are just /giving you all the bad flags we can get, but I swear to you we are not, and there is no such measure in place to hold you down and keep a bad flag on you. Try getting good at the game to where you don't NEED a flag to score some kills, and then, a bad flag wouldn't hardly slow you down.

And yeah, you come at me with some stupid shit, ESPECIALLY while I am in game mode - I'm going to shoot some shit back at your dumb ass. Do you blame it on the server, the game, and the flag scheme everytime you stub your toe, walking around the house in the middle of the night? (I envision JeffM2501 as doing this) I wouldn't doubt it.

And like I said on the server - don't just post "I don't like it" - post a plan of action, an alternative, something for us to go on and go by more than "I just don't like it" like "add more WGs flags!" or "Make SW a bit bigger, but a bit slower" or "more Rapid Fire flags!"

But past and beyond all that - thanks for taking the time out to register and post, thanks for playing the game, thanks for acknowledging that the server is superior and kicks much ass. We might talk the shit on here, but we do appreciate you and all the other players for their time and dedication to our beloved server.

On just about any MoFo server, you can expect to be messed with at least once... especially with a name like "Vah Jina". Take it with a grain of salt.
